    Why it matters

What most courses get wrong, and what this one does differently

    From

Use-case lists with 'transform' attached that produce enthusiasm and no capability

    To

Starting from the execution gap, not the technology: what is breaking and where AI actually helps

    From

Jumping to AI tools before establishing data quality

    To

Climate data architecture, lineage, governance, and audit-readiness before models

    From

Knowing what AI does in theory

    To

Making the build, partner, or buy decision that a real client actually asks you for

    Outcomes

What you'll be able to do

    • Explain the net-zero execution gap and why traditional ESG reporting approaches do not close it
    • Describe transition architecture across strategy, governance, data, execution, and reporting
    • Distinguish analytics, automation, and AI, and know which problem each actually solves
    • Build climate data architecture with lineage, governance, and audit-readiness in mind
    • Apply AI across the net-zero value chain: Scope 3 estimation, scenario planning, operational decarbonisation, and disclosure
    • Draw lessons from real applications in retail supply chains, financial services climate risk, and logistics
    • Assess an organisation's AI maturity and readiness for AI-enabled decarbonisation
    • Make build, partner, or buy decisions on AI capability, and manage the vendor ecosystem

About 80 minutes, module by module

Explain the net-zero execution gap, distinguish analytics from AI, and describe transition architecture across strategy, governance, data, execution, and reporting

Build climate data architecture with lineage, governance, and audit-readiness in mind, and avoid the failure mode of confident numbers built on unauditable data

Apply AI to Scope 3 estimation and climate scenario modelling, and understand how to document uncertainty and defend AI-estimated emissions under audit

Apply AI to operational decarbonisation across energy, supply chain, financial services climate risk, and logistics, drawing lessons from sector-specific applications

Design an AI capability stack for decarbonisation and make a defensible build, partner, or buy decision in the AI-for-climate vendor ecosystem

Assess an organisation's AI maturity for net-zero execution and design a practical implementation roadmap

    The credential

    The credential you earn

A verified digital credential you can share publicly, and that stacks toward a full certification.

    • Publicly verifiable via a unique credential link
    • One-click add to your LinkedIn profile
    • Verified digital credential, CPD recognition in progress
How it's earned · Final Assessment (10 minutes): Scenario-based questions spanning transition architecture design, climate data governance, AI-assisted Scope 3 estimation and uncertainty documentation, operational decarbonisation applications across sectors, and build-partner-buy framework decisions, plus a capstone: assess an organisation's AI maturity for net-zero execution and produce an implementation roadmap identifying where AI would materially close the execution gap.

    Who it's for

Built for the people asked to deliver the commitment

Sustainability and climate professionals moving from reporting into execution
Management and sustainability consultants adding AI capability to their offer
Strategy leaders responsible for a net-zero transition plan
Operations, supply chain, and procurement leaders with decarbonisation targets
ESG and climate risk teams in financial services
Not for: Data scientists who want to build climate models in code (this is conceptual, no coding), or people seeking an introduction to climate science or net-zero basics. It assumes you already know what Scope 3 is and why it is hard. Prerequisites: Working familiarity with sustainability or climate strategy. No technical or AI background required.

    FAQ

    Questions, answered honestly

It is the right question, and it deserves a real answer rather than a slogan. AI's energy demand is rising fast, and the emissions of the largest AI builders have risen with it, mostly through Scope 3 from chips, construction, and hardware. At the same time, data centres remain a small share of global emissions in absolute terms, and analysis suggests AI-enabled efficiency gains elsewhere in the economy could in principle offset the additional demand, though there is no evidence yet that adoption is actually delivering that. A credible consultant holds both facts and nets the footprint of the solution against the abatement it enables.

Only if you treat it as what it is: proxy modelling that fills gaps where primary data does not exist. The skill is documenting the method, stating the uncertainty, and defending it. Presenting a modelled estimate as a measurement is how greenwashing exposure is created.

No. It is written for sustainability and strategy professionals, not data scientists. You will not build models. You will learn where AI genuinely helps, what data it needs, and how to decide whether to build, partner, or buy.

No. It is a focused microcredential covering how AI is applied to net-zero execution. Consulting competence also requires experience. This is a credible foundation, not a licence to practise.

It is a verified digital credential you can share and verify online. It is not an accredited or government-recognised qualification. CPD recognition is in progress.

Yes. Team access with volume pricing and central billing is available on request.

AI will not decarbonise anything by itself. But it makes the execution tractable, if you know where to apply it, what data it needs, and how to defend the result.
