Is this an accredited qualification?
It is a verified digital credential that you and any employer can verify online through a unique link. It is not an accredited or government-recognised qualification. CPD recognition is in progress. We would rather tell you that than let you find out later.
What is the difference between a microcredential and this certification?
A microcredential covers one focused skill area and takes about 80 to 125 minutes. This certification bundles several of them plus an assessed capstone, and earns a single credential covering the whole area. You can take any microcredential on its own and it still counts toward the certification.
Do I need a maritime engineering background?
No. This is a commercial and compliance certification. It assumes you work in or with the industry, not that you design propulsion systems.
How does this differ from the Net Zero Specialist certification?
They share one microcredential. This one replaces the product design material with maritime-specific regulation, fuels and fleet economics.
I have already completed one of these microcredentials. Does it count toward the certification?
Yes. Every microcredential in this certification counts toward it, and you do not repeat anything you have already finished. Contact us before you enrol in the certification and we will credit what you have already paid against the certification price. If you have completed all of them separately, you complete the capstone alone to earn the certification.
