Implement SustainAgility In Action

The final step is to implement sustainability initiatives using agile ways of working .

When it comes to embedding sustainability, most of the organisations take very traditional approach and create a separate division or department to handle sustainability. This leads to another silo and delayed realisation of sustainability goals. Ideally, sustainability should be embedded in everything that organisations aim to do. How do we do that?

Our expects have summarised three simple steps to build sustainability in corporate agenda:

      1. Set clear sustainability goals: The first step to building sustainability in a corporate agenda is to set clear goals. The goals should be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART). The goals should align with the company’s mission and vision, and should be communicated to all stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and investors.

      1. Develop a sustainability strategy: Once the goals are set, the next step is to develop a sustainability strategy. The strategy should outline how the company plans to achieve its sustainability goals. The strategy should consider the company’s environmental, social, and economic impacts, and should identify areas where the company can make a positive impact. The strategy should also consider the company’s supply chain and how it can work with suppliers to reduce its environmental footprint.

      1. Implement SustainAgility In Action: The final step is to implement sustainability initiatives using agile ways of working . The initiatives should align with the company’s sustainability goals and strategy. The initiatives could include reducing greenhouse gas emissions, reducing waste, increasing energy efficiency, promoting diversity and inclusion, and supporting local communities. The initiatives should be delivered using agile ways of working, monitored and evaluated using a regular cadence to ensure that they are achieving the desired results.

Overall, building sustainability into a corporate agenda requires a long-term commitment from the company, its employees, and stakeholders. The company must take a holistic approach to sustainability, considering its environmental, social, and economic impacts, and working to make a positive difference in all areas.
